Message from the GW HSA

Ever heard of STEM? STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  These disciplines will be infused into every element of our children’s education from now until they enter the workforce! Eighty percent of all jobs created in the future will require Science, Technology, Engineering and Math skills!

Being on the leading edge is an option, but we need everyone’s help to get there! “The capacity of a school to provide truly enriching opportunities becomes more and more dependent on whether you can raise this extra money.”  Kevin G Welner, Professor of Education at University of Colorado.

Dr. K's Writing Challenge

Attention all students.  Do you want to win great prizes like a Kindle or headphones?  Then enter Dr. K’s weekly writing contest!  Every time you enter, a ticket with you name on it is placed in a jar in the main office.  In December, names will be drawn to win awesome prizes!  We do another drawing in June as well!  Remember, you’ve got to be in it to win it!!

Week of May 26th - For this week, start your writing with the following prompt: "I have never been more frightened than when..." Be sure to thoroughly explain the situation and why you were so frightened - including how it all turned out.

NJ DOE School Grades under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act
